About

Melinda is in the last year of a part-time MA program.  Her project, Negotiating Gender and Race in Colonial South Asia: Co-habitation, Marriage, and Imperial Conquest, 1790-1850, is being supervised by Dr. Sandra den Otter, and focuses on the marriage market manufactured by colonial elites in 19th century British India.

In addition to her studies, Melinda works full-time as the Coordinator of Research Activities and Communications for the Vice-Principal (Research) at Queen's University.
