Canadian History; Rural, Gender and Labour
B.A. Hons, University of Waterloo
I am a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo where I majored in both History and Recreation and Health Studies. I became a member of the UW History Society executive where I served as treasurer for 2012/2013. I am excited to be continuing my studies at Queens.
My research interests are focused on the history of rural communities within Canada during the 18th and 19th centuries; of particular interest is the division of labour between genders and the construction of society during this period. Under the supervision of Dr. Jane Errington I will research the role gender played during the development of the Ontario dairy industry.
