BA (Hons.) History University of Guelph
Zane is an Hons. B.A. graduate from the University of Guelph. He is currently interested in reappraising the political and social culture of mid-to-late nineteenth century English Canada through the framework of 'Loyalism': its discursive traditions, commemorative activities, and political legacy. Under the supervision of Dr. Jane Errington, his cognate will address the contradictory and fitful contours of this tradition in semi-peripheral areas of Ontario (Hamilton) as it came to encompass a 'modern' world outlook.
