With a background in public history, Angela Duffett is interested in questions of national and regional identity and memory. Her PhD research, under the supervision of Dr. Jane Errington, will examine public festivals and feasts in 19th century Halifax and St. John's, with the aim of interrogating how imperial and regional identities were articulated and crafted during these moments of community expression. Angela has worked extensively in the public history field and has held internships and student jobs at Library and Archives Canada, the RCMP Heritage Centre, and Veteran's Affairs Canada.
