Roubina Shnorhokian is currently a fourth year PhD candidate in medieval history. Her research interests focus on the Eastern Mediterranean. She is primarily interested in studying cross-cultural encounters and inter-faith relations between the Latin West, the kingdom of Cilician Armenia and the Il-Khans of Persia during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Her dissertation is under the co-supervision of Prof. Adnan Husain and Prof. Ariel Salzmann. Her dissertation is centered on the career of Hayton of Korykos and his early fourteenth century text La Fleur des histoires de la terre d'Orient.
