When and where do I request my plan?

Your plan is requested on SOLUS from  May 14 to May 25, 2012.

I would like to transfer into history from another plan.  What do I do?

Upper Year Students who wish to change their program/plan may submit a request through the Arts and Science web page from May 14 to 25, 2012  at http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/academics/undergraduate/current-students/choosing-or-changing-your-plan/request-a-change-of-plan. Your request will be forwarded to the history department for consideration and students will be informed of the decision by email in the case of a negative response, or through SOLUS via the my academics tab in the case of a positive decision. Should you be accepted, please consult this page for further information on what you need to take next year.

 

(For students completing their first year)

What grade do I need to get into a history major or medial plan?

Students with a B- or above grade in a 100 level History course will automatically be put into their requested History plan provided the request is submitted through SOLUS in the designated period and they have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. If you received C+ in your 100 level history course or your GPA is below 2.5 you will be put on the pending list. Students who received grades below C+ will not be accepted into a major or medial  plan.

What grade do I need to be a History Minor?

Students with a B- or above grade in a 100 level History course will automatically be put into their requested History minor plan provided the request is submitted through SOLUS in the designated period and they have a cumulative GPA of 2.3. Students who received grades in the C range (C- to C+) will be be put on the pending list. Students below C- will not be accepted into a minor plan.
