NSERC-CREATE at Queen's
The Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program is an initiative of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC).
The Program supports the training of teams of highly qualified students and postdoctoral fellows from Canada and abroad through the development of innovative training programs that:
- encourage collaborative and integrative approaches, and address significant scientific challenges associated with Canada's research priorities; and
- facilitate the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workforce.
The CREATE program was launched in 2009 and the Human Mobility Research Centre at Queen's University was one of its first twenty grant recipients.
Queen's was awarded two more in the 2010 competition:
- NSERC CREATE Training Program in Novel Chiral Materials: an International Effort in Research and Education
- NSERC CREATE Training Program for Next Generation Optical Networks
