Program Goals

The HMRC-CREATE program prepares trainees for professional roles as researchers in the field of Bone and Joint Health Technologies.

Upon completion, trainees will have the ability to:

• Demonstrate effective integration of biological, engineering, and information technologies in bone and joint health research.

• Practice translational research by focusing on clinical problems and effective dissemination of research into practice.

• Participate in best practices of medical product commercialization associated with research outcomes in bone and joint health technologies.

• Integrate professional practices related to regulatory, policy, social, and ethical issues into research activities.

• Communicate effectively with other professionals and in environments outside one's area of specialization.

• Lead others effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

• Contribute to the development of self and others through effective management of one's professional and personal roles.
