Pladec East Day Care Centre (Day Care)

The Pladec Day Care Centre, founded in 1982, is operated as a non-profit charitable organization. The Centre is staffed by registered teachers holding Early Childhood Education (ECE) diplomas. The administration of the centre is the responsibility of the Director, Supervisor and a seven member (parent volunteer) Board of Directors, who meet monthly to discuss issues relating to staffing, program development and parents’ concerns. Pladec follows the Day Nurseries Act of Ontario. We are inspected and licensed yearly by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services, Childcare Programs, the local Health Unit and the Fire Department. Pladec is here to deliver the best possible care for your child/children.
The guiding philosophy of the centre is to provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment that contributes to the child’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical health. You and your family are at the heart of everything we do. We provide an environment of caring, dedication, integrity and quality through our skilled and professional day care team. We strive to meet and exceed your expectations by continuously improving our care programs and facilities.
The daily program involves a variety of activities including creative play, music, art, outdoor play and gross and fine motor skills, field trips and nap time. Children are involved in both group and individual play and an effort is made to enhance each child’s self-esteem to encourage his or her independence and to facilitate his or her cooperative play with others.

Schedule
We offer flexible booking schedules on a monthly basis. Parents are given a calendar on the first of the month for the upcoming month and are asked indicate which days their child requires care. Parents are therefore able to book off time in advance for their child and no fees will apply. Changes to the calendar have to be made by the 15th of the previous month or all days indicated will be charged. Full fees will apply if your child does not attend on a scheduled day. All families are required to pay for a minimum of 7 days per month; this can include a statutory day. All families are required to pay for statutory holidays.
