Queen’s Day Care Centre (Day Care)
Queen’s Day Care Centre provides full and part-time care. Two houses comprise Queen’s Day Care Centre: one for infants and toddlers and another for preschool and kindergarten children. Two-thirds of the spaces are reserved for children of Queen’s University members (students, staff, and faculty), and the rest are available to community members. Parents will receive a certain number of days for which they are not required to pay if their child is absent due to illness, but regular fees apply if their child is absent for a vacation. Children who are withdrawn over the summer will receive priority for a spot in the fall. A $50 deposit (which is credited towards the first month’s fees) is required once space is confirmed. The centre is closed between Christmas and New Year’s, and for the first two weeks of July. Queen’s Day Care Centre is wheelchair accessible at the 184 Union St. site.
