Adoption Resource & Counselling Services (ARCS)

ARCS provides information about all aspects of adoption, including those considering placing a child for adoption and those who want to adopt. Step-parent adoption is also dealt with. The centre also offers counselling for adoptees and families with concerns around adoption issues such as identity and reunion. It specializes in "open" adoption, where the child does not necessarily lose touch with his or her birth parents. It is also licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
