HR - PeopleSoft Drop-in Centre

Are you a Timekeeper or Departmental HR Administrator who would like to use the HR PeopleSoft System with the assistance of an instructor? If so, visit the Human Resources PeopleSoft Drop-in Centre. The Centre is where system users can go to get more information or hands-on assistance using the HR PeopleSoft System. If you are planning to bring your timesheets or contracts for entry, please login to HR PeopleSoft to ensure you have access to the system prior to your arrival. To learn how to log into MyQueen's Portal to access HR PeopleSoft, visit the QUASR training site at https://www.queensu.ca/quasr/HR/toc.html to view a simulation. From this webpage, click the Introduction to/Basic PeopleSoft Navigation module, click the + sign to the left of the module and select Login.

This course is intended to provide participants with an overview of Template-Based Hiring, and will demonstrate the use and functionality of the various types of hiring templates that will be available to support de-centralized hiring processes. HR - Time Reporting Demystified (Recommended for Timekeepers of USW employees)

This course will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of existing Time Reporting Codes (TRC), Compensatory Plans (i.e. Overtime) and Schedules in the HR PeopleSoft Time and Labour Module. Also covered will be new Time Reporting Codes (TRC) and Compensatory Plans for United Steel Workers (USW) bargaining unit employees. The Time Reporting Demystified course will demonstrate:

  • Compensatory Plans - What's the Same, What's New (USW)

    HR - TimeKeeper: Report Time 1

    This workshop is intended to provide participants with an overview of timesheet processing, how to enter approved time for employees, how to report regular hours for casual employees, and how to manage exceptions for salaried employees. The session will also demonstrate the processes for resolution of any issues encountered with reported time, the validation of payable time, and the process for paying an employee from multiple accounts. The Report Time 1 course will demonstrate:
    • The Timekeeper role
    • Reporting time using timesheets
    • Managing exceptions
    • Validating payable time
    • Paying an employee from multiple accounts
