July 1 2013 Salary Increases Implemented

Annual salary increases for employees in the General Staff groups (Confidential and Research, United Steelworkers Local 2010), CUPE Locals 229, 254 and 1302, and OPSEU Local 452 were processed on July 1, 2013 as per applicable salary programs. The new rates will be reflected in gross pay amounts on paystubs issued in July.

For specific information about these increases, please refer to the applicable wage agreements which can be found on the Unions and Associations page.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Will I receive retroactive pay? No. Increases were processed on the July 1, 2013 effective date so retroactive payments are not necessary.
  2. Will I receive a letter explaining the percentage increase I received? In an effort to reduce environmental impact, individual letters will not be issued. Refer to the applicable staff or collective agreement for details of applicable increase effective July 1 2013.
  3. What if I have questions after reviewing my pay stub? Contact your HR Advisor if you have questions. A list of HR Advisors can be found on the Human Resources Contact page.
