Progress on Queen's & USW Joint Job Evaluation

In January 2015, Queen’s and United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2010 began a collaboration to modernize the university’s job evaluation process to better reflect a changing work environment.

Based on the Letter of Understanding in the newly ratified USW Local 2010 Collective Agreement, the members of the Joint Working Group on Job Evaluation (WGJE) along with their consultants, Bonni Titgemeyer and Daina Green, are proceeding to design and develop new job evaluation tools for USW bargaining unit positions.

The Working Group met in February, April, May, June and September to design a plan of activities and develop new tools. The Working Group will be providing regular updates to the Queen’s community as work progresses, including pilot testing the new tools.
