Update on Queen’s & USW Joint Job Evaluation Project

The Working Group on Job Evaluation (WGJE) has begun pilot testing draft job evaluation tools and processes.  This is a common and preliminary step in the design phase of new job evaluation tools and processes.

This step involves gathering information from employees on their positions. A representative sample of jobs were identified from across the USW bargaining unit to gather job content information.  Orientation sessions were held by the WGJE in November for the participants.

The WGJE will be reassembling to review the input from the pilot sample in the New Year.
