In collaboration with the Queen's Industrial Relations Centre (IRC), Queen's Human Resources (HR) is offering a specialized two day workshop "Managing in a Unionized Environment".
As we transition into a more unionized environment, achieving the ideal of a respectful and productive work environment will largely depend on the ability of our supervisors/managers to understand and adapt to the new world. For most supervisors/managers, this will mean operating within a unionized environment—an entirely new experience. An investment in training is key to their success.
The IRC is renowned across the country for using leading edge adult learning principles in its premium professional development programs, giving participants practical skills they can use on the job. Human Resources is proud to partner with the IRC to offer this exceptional learning experience for Queen's supervisors/managers.
Initial workshops sessions are scheduled for: August 20 and 21, August 22 and 23, August 27 and 28, and August 29 and 30, 2012. Further sessions will be released later this year.
Cost per person, per session is $1,100. This fee includes tuition, workbook materials, lunch, and a social networking event.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the cost of this program and necessity to completely fill each session, any cancellation received one week or less from session start date, will be subject to forfeit of the $1,100.00 registration fee.
