Minimum Wage Increases June 1, 2014

The Ontario Government has announced the minimum wage in Ontario will be increased effective June 1, 2014. The general minimum wage will increase from $10.25 to $11.00 per hour and the student minimum wage will increase from $9.60 to $10.30 per hour. The student minimum wage applies to students under the age of 18 who work 28 hours or less when school is in session, or work during a school break or summer holidays. All active Jobs in the Human Resources Information System that have an hourly rate less than the new minimum wage will be converted to the new rate by Human Resources.
