Merit Appraisal and Salary Increase Program for senior non-academic administrators
(salary grades 10 – 14 and eligible administrative executive positions)

The merit based plan is compliant with the Ontario government’s public sector compensation restraint legislation, and covers the 2012-2013 salary program year.

Compensation Adjustment Plan

Performance ratings are as follows:

Rating Level 1: Needs Improvement to meet Expectations
Rating Level 2: Fully Achieves Expectations
Rating Level 3: Exceeds Expectations
Rating Level 4: Outstanding Achievement

For employees with a rating of 2, 3, or 4, the program is as follows:

For 2012 - 2013 (effective July 1, 2012):

  • For employees at or below the maximum of their salary grade – a 2.0% salary increase
  • For employees above the maximum of their salary grade or in an eligible1 administrative executive position – a one-time lump sum payment equivalent to a 2.0% increase.

Please note that the above adjustments will be prorated to reflect appointment details.

1Certain administrative executive positions are Designated Executives pursuant to the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act and their compensation is therefore frozen.
