Yoga for Managing Stress: This lunchtime series will help you find your own "off" switch to escape the pressures of the day! Learn how to calm and prevent stress – while improving your quality of life, and your overall health. You will practice gentle yoga postures and breathing exercises you can bring into your daily life to help you relax anywhere, anytime. Mats are provided. No Yoga experience needed.
PREPARE: This training is designed for front-line staff who may encounter hostile or aggressive customers in the course of their duties. Designed to teach participants to recognize early warning signs; effectively utilize personal space, body language and paraverbal communication to relive tension and defuse hostility; employ verbal intervention strategies to de-escalate situations; maintain an objective and professional attitude when responding to an agitated individual; invoke four priorities essential to your organization's Violence Response Procedures and effectively debrief once tension reduction occurs.
