Working towards a new job evaluation system

Queen's is committed to implementing a new system for job evaluation that meets the needs of today?s workforce, current legislation and human resources best practices. Read more: Gazette, October 1, 2014 Working towards a new job evaluation system.

A Letter of Understanding (LOU) regarding job evaluation was part of the 2011, first Collective Agreement (Page 79) between Queen's University and USW Local 2010 who represent approximately 1,150 Queen's staff. A Joint Job Evaluation Committee was formed for the purpose of investigating, evaluating and making recommendations on a new job evaluation system.

To provide ongoing information, the Job Evaluation pages on the Total Compensation website have been updated:

  • Job Evaluation (JE) has been updated with additional information on job evaluation

  • three new links have been added

    • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
    • Joint JE Committee Progress Updates
