Committee Leave


Staff members who are appointed to serve on University committees or who are elected/appointed to executive positions in a recognized employee organization may be required to be absent occasionally from their regular duties, usually for the purpose of attending scheduled meetings with representatives of the University. Such absences will normally be regarded as leave of absence with pay, however they are subject to the operational requirements of the department.


Staff members who hold executive appointments with a recognized employee association, or who have been appointed to a University committee must request leave from their department head/designate with as much advance notice as possible.
