Supplementary Medical Plan (including prescription drugs)

The Supplementary Medical Plan (Health care) is a non-taxable benefit that helps cover the cost of necessary health care expenses which are not covered by OHIP. For details, see Supplementary Medical Plan.

Out-of-Country Coverage

If you have coverage under the Supplementary Medical Plan and you or your insured dependent are temporarily out of the province or out of the country on vacation or business, you are covered for emergency health care. For details, see Out-of-Country Coverage.

Dental Plan

The Dental Insurance plan is a non-taxable benefit designed to help cover the cost of necessary dental care expenses for Basic and Major services. For details, see Dental Plan. For details about orthodontics, see Orthodontic Coverage.

Semi-Private Hospital Plan

Semi-Private Hospitalization benefits pay the difference between semi-private hospital charges and standard ward rates for you or your insured dependent.  Coverage is for reasonable and customary expenses not covered by a government plan. For details, see Semi-Private Hospital.

Life Insurance (Basic Life Insurance & Optional Life Insurance)

Life insurance provides financial support to families of employees in the event of their death. Basic Life and Optional Life coverage are available for employees. For details, see Basic Life Insurance and Optional Life Insurance.

Long-Term Disability

Long-Term Disability coverage provides salary replacement for plan members who are unable to work due to injury or disease. For details, see Long-Term Disability.
