The Queen’s Human Rights Initiative Award is given annually in recognition of initiatives that have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of equality and human rights at Queen’s University.Selection Committee
The Selection Committee responsible for choosing recipients will consist of members of the Human Rights Office Advisory Council.
Criteria
Nominations for the Queen’s Human Rights Initiative Award will be judged on the following criteria:• Originality
• Positive impact on the University community
• Sustainability
• Broad community partnershipsNominations
The closing date for nomination submissions will be November 4th this year. The award will normally be granted on December 10th (the Anniversary of the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights).
Nominations of initiatives developed by Kingston community members will be considered provided the initiative was directly intended to benefit the Queen’s community.Please direct any questions about the Queen’s Human Rights Initiative Award to the Human Rights Office at 533-6886 or hrights@queensu.ca
