Human Rights Office: Dear Jen

Dear Jen

Jen is a nom de plume for the new advice columnist who has just joined the Human Rights Office team. She is ready to help with advice on matters of ethics, discrimination, and harassment. When you're just not sure how to handle a situation that is making you uncomfortable, or you are not sure whether the situation involves a human rights issue, Jen may be able to help. Whether you are a student, a faculty member or a staff member and whether the issue you are dealing with has to do with your employment, your classroom environment, or your living environment you can write to Jen for advice. If you want to write to Jen, just send your questions to Dear Jen at hrights@post.queensu.ca, or submit Dear Jen's online form.

Please note that Dear Jen cannot respond on this internet site, to letters that include information that may identify specific individuals or that request action on complaints of possible breaches of human rights in the community. But, advisors in the Human Rights Office are available for confidential consultation online (as well as by telephone and in person) at hrights@post.queensu.ca. Just address your email to “Dear Advisor” instead of Dear Jen, and it will be referred to an advisor who will respond as quickly as possible.
