Mandate

Our mandate is to provide advice, support and resources in the area of human rights, and to ensure the effective administration of the Queen's Harassment/Discrimination Policy and Procedure.

Vision

Our vision is that of an inclusive Queen's, one whose community members have created positive environments that reflect the diversity of who we are, including: feminists, people of colour, gay men, lesbians and transgender people,  persons with different abilities, and persons of many religions, ancestries and cultural backgrounds.

Mission

The Human Rights Office will endeavour to achieve its vision through:

1.  the provision of educational resources
2. the implementation of individual intervention mechanisms
3. the fostering of complementary initiatives throughout the University
4. the provision of advice related to human rights and equity
