Artist's Statement

My interests have no boundaries. Today I may paint flowers, tomorrow it may be buildings, animals, people or whatever. I am open to beauty, ugliness is not encouraged in my work. I admire the decorative motif, enjoy the intricacy of detail, combining new colour combinations and discovering exciting new subjects to draw or paint. Because one method bores me, I will draw with graphite or pen or oils as the subject inspires me. My work has no hidden motives, what you see is what you get.
