Artist's Biography

Eva Campbell has an M.F.A. from the University of Victoria (1994). Her interest is in painting the human form. She recently illustrated the book The Matatu (Orca Books, 2012) by Eric Walters. She currently teaches art at Lester B. Pearson College in Victoria.

Artist's Statement

"Magic Day" shows a young woman in a hat surrounded by bright warm colors which to me evoke the beauty and magic of a new day of opportunity.
