Artist's Statement

"Fervant prayer was my response to a difficult situation.  When I had nowhere else to turn and I was isolated physically and emotionally, I turned to God and developed a relationship with Jesus.  This relationship that I had with Him became more real to me and provided more solace than any person could have ever done at the time.  One day after the police came to our house to speak to my husband, I looked at my very round belly (I was 6 months pregnant), overcome with grief, I ran out to the garden at the back of the house, knelt down, raised my hands toward heaven and wailed.  In the midst of the turmoil, I chose to praise my Creator and acknowledge His goodness which although difficult at the time, was the best response.  Two years after we were married my husband confessed to behaviour that revealed a conflicted heart.  It was then that I realized I needed to forgive!"
