Queen’s researchers in Civil Engineering are working with Bombardier Transportation Canada, a global leader in passenger rail technology, to investigate the structural performance of concrete guideways for mass transit using glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars. Through laboratory and field testing, the collaboration will yield valuable new data and contribute to the development of stronger, longer-lasting, transportation infrastructure.
