John Hunter and Florina Truica-Marasescu of Novelis with Queen's University researchers Aris Docoslis and Juliana Ramsay
Combining cutting-edge research in microbiology, chemistry, materials science and engineering, Queen's University and Novelis are working to develop a breakthrough concept in air filtration. If successful, the new filters will be capable of removing pathogens from air circulated in heating, cooling and ventilation systems. It's an industry-university collaboration with the potential to significantly reduce the spread of infectious diseases, such as influenza.
