Mosaic Manufacturing introduces Palette+

The Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre (DDQIC) is pleased to announce that one of our former QICSI ventures is celebrating its three-year anniversary. Congratulations to Mosaic Manufacturing for their continued success!

On this great occasion, DDQIC would like to help Mosaic Manufacturing introduce their new product, Palette+, a multi-material 3D printer that is compatible with water-soluble materials, engineering polymers, and flexible materials.

Since its establishment in 2014, Mosaic began developing Palette with the goal of bringing multi-color printing to every filament-based (FFF/FDM) 3D printer. Over time, the team had come to realize that Palette’s core technology could offer more than multi-color PLA prints—it could enable multi-material printing. Palette+ is compatible with more material combinations than ever before, including: PLA with a water-soluble, PLA with flexible TPU, and PETG with PETG.

Palette+ enables the creation of tough, temperature resistant, recyclable, and food safe prints with PETG. MatterHackers.com describes PETG filament as “durable and easy to print” and “likely to take over as the most commonly-used filament.”

Additionally, in response to frequent requests of increased compatibility with soluble material, Mosaic Manufacturing’s newest product works with select water-soluble support materials. Palette+ can enable prints with up to three PLA-based filaments with Scaffold as the fourth. With Palette+, single-extruder printers can create multi-color and multi-material prints with highly complex geometries.
