Collaborative Projects

  • CAMBIO: Canada and Mexico Battling Childhood Obesity
    A multidisciplinary, international network of investigators participating in a project to enhance research capacity in the field of Childhood Obesity in Mexico. The network is led by Queen's researcher Dr. Ian Janssen and Dr. Juan López Taylor of the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico.
  • MEGA: Dark Matter in the Andromeda Galaxy
    An international collaboration of observational and theoretical astrophysicists designed to search for dark matter in the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies through the gravitational lensing effect.
  • The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory
    Queen's Physics takes a leading role in an international collaboration to solve the long standing solar neutrino problem.
  • Virgo Consortium
    The goal of the Virgo Consortium is to carry out state-of-the-art cosmological research. Formed in 1994, the consortium has a core membership of about a dozen scientists in the UK, Germany, Canada the USA and Japan.

    Outlines the international activities being undertaken by the Faculty of Education.
  • Industrial Projects for International and Domestic Companies
    Provides an opportunity of international and domestic companies to work with University students on an industrial project.
  • Municipal Services Project (MSP)
    A multi-partner research, policy and educational initiative examining the restructuring of municipal services in Southern Africa. The Project's central research interests are the impacts of decentralization, privatization, cost recovery and community participation on the delivery of basic services to the rural and urban poor, and how these reforms impact on public, industrial and mental health.
  • Napoleonic Atlas of Italy
    A web-based atlas devoted to cartographic and pictorial material on Napoleonic activities in Northern Italy from 1765 to 1815.
  • Studies in National and International Development (SNID)
    Serves the Queen's development community with a diverse, weekly program of visiting and local speakers discussing a cross-disciplinary range of development-related topics.
  • The Surveillance Studies Centre
    A multi-disciplinary and international research initiative that investigates what happens to our personal information when it is handled by organizations.
