THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE DEVS SEMESTER ABROAD PROGRAM IN SHANGHAI HAS BEEN EXTENDED. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to earn Queen’s credits while studying at one of China’s most prestigious learning institutions. There are some spaces left in the Queen’s-Fudan Semester Abroad Program in China. The application form is available on-line by visiting the Queen's-Fudan program website. Final deadline for applications is Monday 27 February 2012. This program is open to students from ALL disciplines.
When: Fall 2012 (1 September to 15 December)
Where: Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
This full semester program running for 15 weeks from September to December is intended to provide you with a multifaceted insight into the socio-economic changes currently taking place in China. You will get an opportunity to study these developments at Fudan University, Shanghai, whose programs in social research are considered to be one of the best in China.
Semester Abroad participants will live in the International Students Residence on the Fudan University campus and will get ample opportunities to socialize with their Chinese counterparts. Courses will be taught in English by Professors from Fudan University.
Students will receive 15 Queen's units and will be required to register in following courses:
DEVS 430: Introduction to Modern Chinese History (3 units)
DEVS 431: Shanghai and Globalisation (6 units)
DEVS 432: Work Study Placement or Field Research Practicum (6 units)
Development Studies students can earn additional 3.0 units by registering for DEVS 421/3.0 (International Exchange at Fudan) on their return.
