Part 1. Application to Partner University

Receiving acceptance from the IPO is the first part of a fairly intensive application process. At this point students will now apply directly to the exchange partner.

Students apply to the host university using either an online or paper application. The application process differs at each university and students are encouraged to consult the host university website for more information about this process.  The specific requirements of the exchange university will be made clear to students by either the IPO and/or the exchange partner directly.

Most applications have additional requirements which may include the following:

• Official transcript (Registrar's Office, $15)
• Reference letter(s) and/or form(s)
• TOEFL (if english as a second language)
• Statement of study
• Photo (additional passport photo may be required)
• Health certificate
• Language proficiency
• Financial disclosure (a validated bank statement)
• Passport

*Please note that this is a fairly basic list of requirements. Partner institutions may have different requirements and docments that students will be responsible to produce and send to them. It is not the IPO's responsibility to get these documents for students.  Students will be given a deadline to return required documents to the IPO in order to courier them to the partner university. Failure to meet this deadline may jeopardize the application process and result in a late acceptance which could be problematic.
