If you know the model of printer we can find the required ink, or you can look it up in the Ink Catalogue.
On our website we have "Real-time" stock which is the stock available from our suppliers. "Local" stock is the stock available at our store. If you click on the stock informationlink for that item, our system will tell you where the item is available from.
Alumni are able to purchase everything in the store except Microsoft and Adobe software.
The two are basicall y the same with the main difference being that "Business" (or Professional) versions of Windows allow you to connect to a specific Domain, such as the Queen's Active Directory. If your department uses this service, then you will need a Business/Pro version of Windows.
There has been an issue for some time with the ability of newer printer models being unable to properly print transcripts in the PCICs software.
The key element is that at minimum, laser printers must have PCL drivers available to it in order to print transcripts in PCICs. Host based printer drivers will not work. e.g. HP Laserjet 3600.
When purchasing a printer that will be used with the PCICs program, the specifications of the model must be checked to ensure that the machine does support that printing language. HP is one of the most popular brands of laser printers used on campus, and their webpage provides all the specs of their different models in a very clear fashion, and buyers can single out and compare specific models to ensure compatibility.
When you purchase a new computer from our store we will configure it for you for $55.00 which includes the installation of IDA, Symantec Antivirus, Acrobat Reader, and all Windows updates.
