Creating an Appointment or Event in OWA
This tutorial teaches you how to create the calendar entries: appointments and events
Appointments vs. Events
Appointments and events are slightly different calendar entries. Appointments and events are both just for you (although you can create invited events). However, appointments by default take up time in your calendar, and mark you as busy, whereas events do not. This is because an appointment is for something like a dentist appointment, at which point you will obviously be busy, or out off office. An event is for something like someone's birthday. The event appears at the top of your calendar and serves as more of a reminder than anything else.
