Configure Outlook 2007 Using POP

Queen's email for Faculty, Staff, and Grad Students is moving to Microsoft Exchange. POP configurations will no longer be supported. IMAP configurations will continue to be supported however IMAP will not allow for the full integration of MS Exchange  We recommended that you upgrade to MS Outlook 2010 to enjoy the full integration of Email, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks.

The following instructions were created using Microsoft Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista Operating System.

Note:   In order to produce the screen shots Outlook has been configured using an email account used by IT Services for documentation purposes. When following these instructions and configuring your client please use your own name and email address.  The instructions that accompany each screen shot will indicate whether to use your email address or the provided server name. If in doubt, contact the IT Support Centre at 613.533.6666.
