Office 365 Light

 

If you have low vision and use a screen reader or high contrast settings, you can configure the Office 365 Web App to use the Light version.

 

The light version of the Office 365 web interface provides fewer features and is generally recommended for those who need optimization for accessibility. A list of features can be found here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/ilvancri/archive/2010/04/07/exchange-2010-owa-versus-owa-light.aspx .

 

To use Office 365 light, you will need configure it. This is a one time step.


  1. Sign in to Office 365,
    • Click Options in the upper-right area of the page.
    • Select See All Options... from the flyout menu

  3. The Options screen will open
    • In the left navigation menu select Settings
    • From the top navigation menu select General
    • In the Accessibility section, check the box beside Use the blind and low vision experience.
    • Click Save.
    • Sign out of Office 365.
    • Close and then restart the web browser.
    • Sign in to Office 365, and then verify that Office 365 light is now enabled.
