Empty Your Trash Folder Manually


Folders are used to store your email. When your email account is created by default several folders will be created for you: Inbox, Drafts, Junk E-mail, Sent Items, Trash, and sent-mail.


  1. To empty your trash manually
    • click on the Manage Folders link.
    • The Folders screen will open. If you have email in the Trash folder you will see an Empty Trash button. Click the Empty Trash button to empty it. If the trash is empty you will not see this button.
    • Depending on the security settings of your browser you may receive a warning. Follow the instructions in the warning to accept the action.
    • You will be prompted to confirm that you want to Permanently remove all messages in Trash?If you are sure, click OK.
    • The trash will be emptied.
    Note: When you place email in the trash it will automatically be deleted 30 days later.

    You can choose to have the trash emptied automatically each time you log out of Webmail. To configure this option go to Setting Options for Mail - Settings.
