Deleting Messages from Folders
- The default setting is to Move deleted messages to the Trash. Email you have placed in the Trash will be permanently deleted 30 days after it is placed there.
- To empty the Trash automatically check the box beside
Empty messages from this folder on logout.

Sent Messages
- When you send email copies are stored in the Sent Items folder. If you do not require these copies, remove the check from the box beside
Save a copy of all sent messages in folder Sent Items.

Mail Forwarding
- If you choose to forward your email to another email account check the box beside
Do not leave copy on server.

Note: Do not use filters to forward email to another email address. The option is shown as a configurable option in Filters, but it will cause errors and the forward will fail.
- Be aware that "Students are required to obtain and use the University's email system to communicate with the University and to receive information from the University".
- When finished, click the
Save button.
