Help & Support

Additional Information

Booking:

  • The podcasting studio is available by reservation only. To book a time in the podcasting studio, please email etc@queensu.ca.

Please note that booking a time does not mean that someone will be available to provide assistance with the equipment. If it will be your first time using the studio, please indicate this when you book the room. When booking for the first time, we'll find a timeslot that works for both you and an assistant. The assistant will walk you through how everything works. If you require assistance after the first time, this can be provided at a cost, but you may be better served by Digital Media Productions.

Tips:

  • Book the studio at least 3 days in advance. If it will be your first time using the studio, please indicate this at the time of booking.
  • Practice what you're going to say or do during your recording beforehand. For best results, prepare a script.
  • Gather together all the items you're going to use in your recording so that you don't forget any the day of the recording.
  • Bring an external hard drive or USB key with sufficient capacity to store your recording. Once you leave the studio, your recording may be deleted by the next user.
