Users requiring access to Administrative systems and network files from off campus will find this useful. MSW Remote Access utilizes Microsoft's Terminal Server technology to offer a secure connection from a remote PC to a Windows 2008 Server setup with the applications needed and access to the Queen's network.
Using Microsoft's Terminal Services, users are able to log onto a Remote Desktop Session and utilize the installed applications to complete their work when at a remote location. The Remote Desktop Server is located in a secure, climate-controlled environment with UPS. The common applications on the desktop are Office 2010, Adobe, GQL, QWS3270 and Webmail. If you are on the Queen's AD, you will have your usual drives and printers mapped as well.
