Send and Receive Instant Messages In Office 365

When you are logged into Office 365 you can send and receive Instant Messages from anyone at Queen's and anyone in your Contact List.  

  1. Log into Office365
    • Open the Apps menu
    • Select People


  2. The People screen will open
    • Select the person you want to send an instant message to
    • You can search for contact from My contacts or from the Directory
    • Either click the Send Instant Message icon or click the email address under the Send IM heading


  3. The Instant Message window will open
    • Enter your message in the area at the bottom of the screen.
    • The message recipient is shown at the top
    • The conversation is shown in the middle
    • By default your conversations will be save in the Conversation History folder of your email account.
