NOTICE: Microsoft StaffHub to be retired. Effective October 1, 2019, Microsoft StaffHub will be retired. Microsoft is building StaffHub capabilities, including schedule and task management, into Microsoft Teams. Starting on April 1, 2019, Microsoft StaffHub will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and all other points of access. Current users will still be able to use the service until October 1, 2019, however no additional features will be made available. StaffHub is tightly integrated with Office 365 groups and users should review the Office 365 Groups Service page and Groups Guidelines before getting started with StaffHub.

Microsoft StaffHub is an employee scheduling solution designed specifically for the deskless or firstline worker. StaffHub combines scheduling, task management, documents, people and tools in one place and helps with:

Schedule Management
  • Create, update and manage schedules
  • Easily swap shifts and request time off
  • Create, assign and coordinate tasks and activities
  • Track attendance with in-app clock-in/out
  • Categorize, label and add notes to shifts
Communication, Sharing and Collaboration
  • Start group or private 1:1 conversations
  • Use day and shift notes to stay up to date
  • Deliver employee resources and training content
  • Manage and share documents and files

Getting Started

Who Can Have It?

  • StaffHub is part of the Office 365 suite of cloud-based services available to all current students, staff and faculty of Queen's University with an active Queen's NetID@queensu.ca email account
  • Alumni, retired staff and faculty are not eligible for StaffHub

Are There Any Costs?

  • StaffHub is part of Office 365 service and provided at no cost to eligible users
  • Users are responsible for any personal ISP/cellular arising data charges

WARNING: When you delete a StaffHub Team, you are permanently deleting the group.
Deletion will remove access to all group conversations, email messages, files, calendars, and any other related information. If you would like to delete a StaffHub Team or related data, please see Delete a StaffHub Data.

What if I Leave Queen's?

  • Please see the Office 365 section of the Service Termination Dates page for details on when service will be discontinued following departure from Queen's
  • To avoid data loss, StaffHub Managers should designate a replacement manager/owner prior to departure

Additional Information

Privacy Settings

  • Important: By default Groups created by StaffHub are set to Public. Content in a public group can be seen by anybody in Queen's Office 365, and anybody is able to join the group. To make the group private refer to: Make Office 365 groups public or private

Supported Platforms

  • StaffHub is designed to work on the web and with the StaffHub app on mobile devices (see mobile apps).

Supported Browsers

  • StaffHub is designed to work with the current or immediately previous versions of Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Firefox, or the latest version of Chrome or Safari. For more information, see Office 365 system requirements .
