Change Your NetID Password

This document applies to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

  • Many of use use multiple devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops). If you have saved your password on different devices for services such as Wi-Fi and Email you will need to change these as well.  If you do not update them, they can cause you to be locked out of the service.  See the Changing and Removing Stored Passwords Tutorial for help.
  • When you change your password, depending on the time of day you change it, it may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours for the change to take place.  Not all services will update immediately.  If you try your new password and you can't access the service you are trying to access, wait a little longer and try again.
