Forgot Your NetID

If you have forgotten your NetID you can retrieve the information by suppling your employee/student number.  Information will be sent to your alternate email address. 

If you did not register your alternate email address, you will need to contact the ITSC in person.

  1. Go to netid.queensu.ca
    • From the Other options section select Forgot your NetID

  2. The Forgot Yout NetID - Send NetID to Alternate Email screen will open
    • From the Account Type: drop down menu select your affiliation
    • In the Employee/Student ID: field enter your Employee number or your Student number, whichever your are.
    • Click the Continue button

  3. The Manage Your Account Success screen will open
    • Your NetID has been forwarded to your alternate email account. 
    • Click the Continue button

  4. The NetID Profile Manager screen will reopen
    • Check your alternate email account for email from IDM Middleware.  It will contain your NetID.
    • Once you have recovered your NetID you will be able to login.
    • If you do not remember your password you will be able to use your security questions and/or your alternate email address to reset your password yourself.

  5. Check your alternate email account
    • Your NetID is included in the email
    • You can now login to the NetID Profile Manager to manage your account
    • Note:  if you receive an email similar to this and you have not made a request, contact the IT Support Centre immediately.
