Ensure you have an activated netid You must have an activated netid to connect to the eduroam service. Most users will have already completed this step at some point. However as a precautionary measure you should go to https://eservices.queensu.ca/apps/mynetid/loginPage.do and login. This will ensure your account is properly activated. It may take up to an hour for the account to complete its activation. So if it does not first connect, please be patient.
Connect to Wireless Networks
First go to the bottom right hand of the desktop and click on the network connections icon (two cascaded computers with a globe in front).
Then click Connect to a network.
Select a Network
Look for the "eduroam" network in the list of available networks and double click it.
Log in as user
You will be asked to enter additional information. Click Enter/select additional log on information.
You must then enter your credentials.
You MUST use your netid followed by @queensu.ca (ex. user@queensu.ca).
Enter your typical password and leave the Logon domain blank.

You will be asked to enter additional information.
Click Enter/select additional log on information. To ensure secure communications a special certificate is provided by the server to your machine.
This screen allows you to view and verify the Server Certificate.
Typically just clicking OK will be fine, but if you wish to double check click "View Server Certificate".
Connecting...
Next it will take up to 15 seconds to connect.
You are expected to follow the network use policy set forth by the host institution. See Queen's policy at http://www.queensu.ca/secretariat/senate/policies/codes.html.
Something went wrong!
In the event that you receive an error message, it is likely you have just entered an incorrect netid or password. Please try again.
