Configure Windows Vista to Connect to eduroam

  1. Ensure you have an activated NetID.

You must have an activated NetID to connect to the eduroam service. Most users will have already completed this step at some point. However as a precautionary measure you should go to https://netid.queensu.ca/idm/user/login.jsp and login. This will ensure your account is properly activated. It may take up to an hour for the account to complete its activation. So if it does not first connect, please be patient.

  2. Connect to Wireless Networks
    • First go to the bottom right hand of the desktop and click on the network connections icon (two cascaded computers with a globe in front).
    • Then click Connect to a network.
