Authentication Services Updated

 

Do you have an online application that users need to sign in to? Would you like them to be able to use their Queen’s NetID and password as their login credentials?

 

ITServices now offers two comprehensive Central Authentication and Authorization Services (CAAS): Single Sign-On (SSO) and Common Sign-On (CSO). Both allow clients to use ITServices’ centrally managed user databases (LDAP or Active Directory) so that Queen’s application owners and developers can focus on their applications and not worry about managing user data.

 

Other advantages of using CAAS include:

 

  • daily real-time updates to the user databases as changes occur;
  • ability to authorize to specific subsets of users (e.g. to students only); and
  • convenience of login credentials (NetID and password) for users.
