Queen's University has entered a campus-wide agreement with Microsoft for both Windows upgrades and the current version of the Microsoft Office Suite. This agreement will cover all equipment used by staff, faculty and graduate students in support of our productivity standards and the new email platform.
The agreement is for both Windows and Macintosh, making the current version of Outlook readily available to users who will then be able to enjoy the benefits of our new, fully integrated service for email, calendar, tasks and contacts.
The campus-wide nature of the agreement means that thousands more Queen’s-affiliated people now have access to the software for the same cost to the institution while improving legal compliance. The wider availability of the software is intended to encourage outliers to use our fully supported email client.
We currently working out the mechanism for distributing this software electronically for on-campus installation.
