On Monday, December 9, the new Active Learning Classrooms in Ellis Hall opened their doors to the Queen's community for an open house.
This has been a huge initiative involving several people from ITServices, including: Don Harmsen, Rodney Busch, Dave Smith and the Networks team. This began as a "what-if," blue-sky discussion. Their investigation of technologies and their ultimate proposal was sufficiently interesting that a donor generously contributed the funding and the rest is, as they say, history.
We’ve had many construction delays which will impact the time available for A/V installation and faculty training and support. But in true team fashion everyone is coming together to adapt our plans to the time we have available. Teaching & Learning Support, A/V Services and Technical Services will work together to support these rooms in January.
